The Beach by escape-is-at-hand The Beach by escape-is-at-hand
One of my old shots that I never got around to editing.
This is the view down the beach from the place I was staying at in Hollywood, Florida, just north of Miami.

Just a quick colour boost and a channel swap. The rest is as-shot in IR.

I love the colors. The sky is black, the trees look long dead, and the ground is slate gray. Awesome!

Great IR shot. I love the sky. It gives the overall photo an eerie feeling. Like a storm is brewing or something is about to happen.
Very nice! :D

Lovely use of IR, often IR shots are way too "filled" with the effect from the IR filter, in this shot, the only thing really affected are the trees and the bushes to the left. This makes the sky and the water stand out in an awesome way!

One thing I could have missed here, is the buildings on the right side, between the trees.

Great contrasts, well done

Good detail and shadow work here. The use of IR was a nice choice, as it's not something usually associated with palm trees. The right side could use cleaning, however, as it does seem rather busy and cluttered, forcing a distraction onto the viewer. Nice work overall

What an amazing effect, given off by the IR. It's really boosted the texture, and the composition of the treelines are lovely.
